Part 6 - Not Single handed! "40 years of comfort" - An Orkney Jumper

A plan has been hatching with Sarah Albu for our collaboration as part of Craft Council of Newfoundland and Labrador 2021 exhibition 'Sensorius'.  A very tactile exhibition that was in the planning before covid. Larger than life, these hands are made using wool from whats left of my dads 40 year old hand knitted Orkney jumper. They will be sent to Sarah Albu in Montreal, Quebec Canada, where fabulous things will happen to them.

The jumper has been transformed into this pair of gloves and a twiddle muff. Click here to read more about this project and the jumper.

I've been invited to take part in an exhibition curated by Bruno Vinhas, the gallery director of  the Craft Council of Newfoundland and Labrador.  'Sensorius' is to open in August 2021 at their gallery in St.Johns, Newfoundland.  The exhibition is themed on accessible tactile work.  This Orkney Jumper is at the centre of my new work for the exhibition.
